about

The Parting glass is a Scottish traditional song often sung at the end of a gathering of friends. The earliest known printed version was in 1770's and was considered the most popular song sung in Scotland prior to Robert Burns Auld Land Syne. It has also long been sung in Ireland, enjoying considerable popularity to this day.
